I have been married to Janice Altenbernd, Class of '65, since 1969.  We have two children, Gabe (25) and Cody (22).

LIFE
My favorite thing is to go where I've never been.  Since retiring, highlights have been;  Antarctica, Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt (scuba diving), Maldives Island, Nepal (1st base camp--Mt. Everest), Gansbaai, South Africa (cage diving with great white sharks), Moshe, Tanzania (climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro) and 2002 Tour de France.

Just returned (June) from Sri Lanka where I taught English to kids in the poorest districts of Colombo and in tsunami relocation camps south of Colombo.

While not traveling, I serve as president of our local community college foundation, board member of hospital foundation and board member of Cheyenne's economic development organization.

Enjoy skiing in Steamboat, Colorado and any extra time I can find in Sedona, AZ.
