FAMILY
First marriage fell through. Second one has worked out perfectly. Her name is Rita and without her I'd be lost. i have no children, but through Rita's family and mine I have "adopted" in my heart seven grandchildren. Five girls and two boys, ages 10 to 1.
WORK/EDUCATION/LIFE
Suffered through college for four years, got out (to this day I wish I had ditched the formal educ. thing when I turned about fourteen). Hitchhiked (drifted) across the U.S. and Canada a couple of times, thumbed my way to Alaska and then went south down into Mexico twice, gave professional golf a twirl (I failed) and finally settled on being an artists/woodcarver in Branson, MO. I carved for twenty years and became successful doing representational figures. Western, cowboys, Indians, horses, buffaloes, etc. got burned out with that, and the economy went sour also and decided to get into lawn care. I have been doing that for 18 years now and I've been successful at it and enjoy it.
For the last twenty years I've drawn graphite portraits, done some bronzes and learned how to oil paint. It's more of a hobby. a back-up career if you will. Life after Lawrence High School has been an adventure, what it always should be. Hope everybody is doing well and maybe I can reconnect with some of you via E-mail. I hope the 45th reunion goes well. Seventy lawn to mow each week, must stay put.
