LIFE
Life was going pretty smooth after Paul's heart attack, that is until 2004!  November 22, 2004, I entered St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO.  I had repair of the mitral valve in my heart.  I was one of two people in Kansas and Missouri to have the repair done by robotic surgery!  It was not Open Heart.  Entry was made on my right side near my right arm.  I was dismissed three days later!  I was interviewed on television by a reporter for Fox 4 News in Kansas City, MO and I was also interviewed by a reporter for the Kansas City Star newspaper and the article appeared in that paper.  My story isn't over!  Six weeks after the heart surgery, I had emergency surgery at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for a ruptured colon (January 8, 2005)!  Twelve weeks from that date (May 4, 2005), I again had surgery to reverse the temporary colostomy I had and be "put back together"!  I trust I am now repaired and good for another few years!  my greetings to all of the great class of 1965!
