My husband Wayne and I have two children Katy and Derek and three grandchildren, Hannah (6), Isabella (4) and Jack (2).

LIFE
Good News:  The Class of '65 is celebrating it's 40th Reunion.
Bad News:  That means we're "58" and counting!
Good News:  Wayne and i have 3 wonderful grandchildren.
Bad News:  They live in Germany
Good News:  My parents (89) are still living together in a small house near the airport.
Bad News:  They are in "challenging" health.
Good News:  Wayne is old enough to retire (I think that's good news)
Bad News:  It will NEVER happen (voluntarily, that is).
Good News:  I'm enjoying my part time job in a nearby middle school media center.
Bad News:  I can't think of any.
As always, where there is "good news" there is "bad news" and vice versa.  The older I get the more I try to focus on the "good news".  Blessings are always there somewhere (hard to find at times), but the ability to enjoy where we are in life is one of the biggest ones.  Blessings to each of you.  I'm sorry I won't be there, but hopefully next time.

Updated September 2010:  Katy and her family are now in Albuquerque, which is the closest they have been in the past 11 yrs.  Her kiddos are now 11, 9 and 8.  Our son and his wife have added 2 grandchildren to our lives, Helen (4) and June (1), they are living in Seattle.
