FAMILY
Husband Dana and I were married in 1969.  He is a farmer and engineer and we have two daughters, Rachel, who has given us our grandson Nathan and Sonja.

EDUCATION/WORK
Through the years--newspaper proofreader, waitress, farm cook, grain truck drive, college library cataloger, bowling alley co-proprietor, shop clerk, adult education teacher (GED preparation and English as a second language), census taker (1980 and 2000), seasonal housekeeper at YWCA of the Rockies.

LIFE
My family farmed near a small eastern North Dakota community from 1973 to 1989.  Then we moved to the Aleutian Islands in Northwest Alaska, where fishing is king and the weather is turbulent.  Now we spend some of the year there, a few months in North Dakota and travel in our RV to visit family and friends.  We try to take the back road when possible and move at an easy pace.
It will be interesting to meet and chat with classmates after so long.  I have stayed in touch with about 10 classmates.  My memories of Lawrence Septembers are pretty euphoric

Update September 2010:  I'm enjoying a quiet but interesting life in tiny Sharon, ND, population 70.  I'm a retired English teacher married to a retired farmer/engineer.  We do part time work (census for me, "hired man" farmer/mechanic work for Dana), travel, enjoy time with relatives and friends a lot of reading and a bit of volunteering.  Avid gamesters, our favorites are pinochle, euchre, Scrabble, backgammon, and croquet.  .  In February 2010 we had a great time at Cajun Mardi Gras in southwest Louisiana, followed by a week in Panama.  Just had a fabulous time with our 7 yr. old grandson and his family in beautiful western North Dakota.  Hope you'll have a great reunion.
